You can also use whatever fabric you want, the possibility is endless. Also I have a video where you can also watch how I sew it together and made it. I made two different pattern, one is face cover and the other pattern is pleated, it also come in Adult size and kids.

First I print out my design, on a heat transfer paper, on my white fabric. Then I’m going to use that fabric to make my pleated face mask for kids.

I’m going to place the pattern on my fabric and cut the piece out.

Now I’m gonna take my scissors and snip at the seam allowance to place my notches.

Now I’m going to place the pattern on the fabric to cut out the interlining fabric

I am going to take my scissors and snip at the seams to create notches

Now I’m going to place the nose wire, cover it with the seam allowance, top this stitch quarter of an inch

Now you gonna tops stitch it with the nose wire inside 1/4 of an inch

Now you’re going to fold it 1/4 of an inch and is this stitch it

Now what you’re going to do is fold the fab in pleats, Easy way to do it is to use Clips or to iron, if you don’t have clips ironed it, if you don’t want to use an iron use pins, on the potter I have written the word fold, so you would know where to fold it

Now you’re going to place the two fabrics together and at the bottom part of the mask. You are going to top stitch 1/4 of an inch

you going to take the elastic, measure it 10 inches, and then you’re going to tie it in the knot, it should measure 4 or 4 1/2 inches depending on the elastic

Now you gonna take your seam allowance on the side of the mask, and you’re going to topstitch stitch it 3/8 of an inch, you’re going to cover the knot of the elastic and sew, it’s better if you use the clips to hold the knot while you sew

Now you’re going to back stitch it before you start and back stitch when you finish sewing and you will repeat the steps on the other side

Now you’re all done! Congratulations, you have completed your face mask for kids.
